Information on our rental vehicles – online at Buchbinder.de

At Buchbinder.de it is easy to book your rental online at great prices. We have the broadest range of vehicles ready to rent to you. Individual rates, lots of special offers and a well-structured overview of the vehicle models make it easier for you to choose.

Insurance protection
Each of our vehicles comes with unlimited cover for third-party, fire and theft.

Rental prices
The rental price is calculated by time (per started time period) and – in the case of special tariffs or vehicle types – additionally by kilometres driven. The rental price includes: expenditure for oil consumption, maintenance, repair of wearing parts and third party, fire and theft cover. All costs for fuel shall be charged to the vehicle renter. In this respect please note that we offer an in-house fuel service at the conditions displayed at the various Buchbinder locations. In the event that we have to deal with any parking tickets/traffic violations received subsequently, a supplementary charge shall be applied.

Payment type
We accept all current, internationally recognised credit cards. For the vehicle categories Economy and Compact rental is possible upon presentation of a cash card, for all other groups, a credit card is required. In the event that a replacement rental is required following an accident/breakdown, we will inform you of the special conditions.


Delivery/Pick-up
During our location opening hours we would be delighted to deliver your rental vehicle to a place designated by you or to pick it up. Within the city limits, we charge a rate of € 20 for this service; beyond that, individual agreements are possible. (Does not apply to cash rentals!)

Additional drivers
Only the person named in the rental contract may drive the rental vehicle. If the vehicle is used by several persons, an administration fee of € 5.00 shall be charged per day and rental contract. (Does not apply in the case of assigned company drivers or family members of the renter).

Minimum age
The minimum age to drive a vehicle from the Buchbinder fleet is 21, to drive cars of the medium class and above, the driver must be 24 or older. Company drivers are excluded from this restriction.

Driver’s license
Every driver of a Buchbinder rental vehicle must meet our directives and requirements regarding age, minimum period of time for which the driver has held a driver’s license and the driver’s license class. These are set out in detail in the brochure “General Rental Information” in the version valid at the time your rental contract is concluded. In order to be able to drive a rental vehicle from our fleet, you must be at least 21 years old. For some vehicles, however, the minimum age is higher. Such exceptions are clearly highlighted in the offers on our website. Moreover, we ask you for your date of birth each time you request a price or a reservation. Accordingly we will only offer you those vehicles which you are permitted to rent and drive in accordance with the mentioned conditions.

Vehicle return
The rental vehicle must always be returned to a Buchbinder employee during rental location opening hours. If you need to return the vehicle outside of our opening hours, please enquire with the relevant location as to how you should proceed. We cannot accept any liability for items left in the vehicle by the renter.

One-way rentals
Depending on the tariff type, it is possible to return the rental vehicle to any Buchbinder location in Germany. If the vehicle is returned to another location, in deviation from the agreement, an incorrect drop-off fee of € 50 shall be charged.

Travel restrictions to non-EU countries
Please note carefully: If you would like to take a Buchbinder rental vehicle into a country which is not a member of the European Union, with the exception of Switzerland, this requires prior written approval.

Statutory conditions applicable to trucks and vans
Please always comply with the Road Haulage Act, use the odometer and, where required, comply with all the requirements regarding cargo documents.
