Buchbinder actively supports and promotes the work of the Christiane Herzog Foundation. Under the guidance of the wife of former Federal President Roman Herzog, this organisation was formed to raise awareness of a particularly insidious disease and to help those affected:

Cystic fibrosis, a hereditary illness of the metabolism affects approximately 8,000 to 10,000 children and young people in Germany alone. The consequences: vital organs such as the lungs and pancreas become clogged up and gradually stop working. Those affected suffer from constant coughing, shortness of breath, frequent lung infections, digestive problems and poor growth.

“More power to breathe!” With this motto, Christiane Herzog worked successfully for 15 years to bring about a permanent, effective improvement in the situation of cystic fibrosis sufferers. After her death, her life’s work was continued by the Herzog family: both her sons, who are honorary members of the foundation’s board, have continued their mother’s worthy legacy.

Buchbinder supports the valuable work of the CF foundation through many campaigns and endeavours. For example, awareness of the illness is raised through large stickers on the vehicles in the Buchbinder fleet. In order to in this way create an interest in, understanding of and solidarity with those affected. And last but not least to call for donations. It is only with these funds that the Christiane Herzog Foundation can continue to realise important projects in the research and treatment of this illness: “Helping through action”!

Kleine Füchse – The Raule Foundation

The Kleine Füchse (Little Foxes) Foundation was founded by Wiesbaden-born entrepreneur Horst Raule. Together with his wife Ursula Raule, he is committed to the ongoing realisation of early childhood educational incentives in order to pave the way for talented and gifted children in our society.

The objective of the Kleine Füchse Foundation is to recognise talented children at an early stage and to promote them in an integrative framework so that they can realise their potential and develop optimally in their everyday environment. Through an integrative development approach, educational and learning opportunities are established in day-care facilities, from which all children benefit. The combination of the three project areas, i.e. continued education, counselling centres for gifted children and their parents and the partnership-based cooperation with day-care facilities, to create the model for Kleine Füchse makes it possible to inform and advise parents and to support and offer advanced training to educators in promoting the abilities of gifted pre-school children.

Through its involvement, the foundation contributes to ensuring that the advancement of talented children goes hand-in-hand with greater learning opportunities for all children. For particularly talented and gifted children, the biographies of the little foxes and the reports of the parents show just how important early advancement is for their future lives.

Buchbinder supports the valuable work of the Kleine Füchse foundation through many campaigns and endeavours. For example, large stickers on the HGVs in the Buchbinder fleet, draw attention to the topic – in order to in this way raise interest and awareness of the support required. And not least to get people to donate.
